感想など　※ネタバレ注意

今までJasonが何度も話している彼の故郷「ジャクソンビル」について全く知らなかった。
でも今回のエピソードの中で、故郷に帰った時にJasonが「Duval！」と叫んでいて、何のことかと調べたら、フロリダの中の郡の名前で、そこにあるのがジャクソンビルだった。
なので初めてちょっと調べてみた。治安は中程度の街らしい。

そのジャクソンビルに到着した時Tahaniが読んでいたゴシップ誌の表紙は、ちゃんとラリー・ヘムズワースとTahaniとのBreak Upネタについてだった。
文字は小さくてよく見えなかったけれど、

Tahani says “Ta-Ta."

の部分は読めた。
Ta-Taは大人がおどけて使う「バイバイ」だそうだ。
驚いたことにわざわざコレに日本語字幕が付いていて、「破局！破局！」と・・・。
そのまんまの訳じゃダメだったのかなぁ・・・。

今回はJasonと地元の仲間たちが中心の話なので、まーーー言っていることが分からないこと分からないこと！
でも彼らは皆、お互いの癖のあるアクセントもちゃんと理解して普通に会話している！
多様性重視ドラマっぽいので、Tahani、Jason、Simone・・・あえて様々な訛を強調していると思われる。
つ、つらい・・・。
でもこれが世界で英語を話す際の現実。ネイティブの英語ばっかり聴く練習をしていてもダメ。
なのでリスニング練習教材としてこのドラマを選んでOKでしょう。
