英語で鑑賞 The Good Place : Season2-12 The Burrito
英語字幕での不明点 ※ネタバレ注意

感想など ※ネタバレ注意
今回は、英語音声だけで一通り観て内容はほぼ理解した。
その際よく分からない・・・と思ったのはJasonがなぜテスト不合格だったのか、という点だったけど、英語字幕を確認しても、やっぱり不合格の理由がイマイチ分からなかった。
この人の天然で愚かで空気を読まない言動は本人の性格であって、それがBad Place行きになる理由にはならないと思うんだけどな・・・。
判事がTahaniのアクセントを気に入り、彼女に “aluminium" と言わせて “I love that!" と大喜びするシーン。
アクセントは本人固有の特質だから、日本人アクセントでも誇りを持たなきゃなぁ、とコメディドラマなのに真面目に考えてしまった。
それはともかく、英語では「アクセント」と言っているが、日本語訳は「声」となっていて、判事のセリフが「あなたの声にメロメロよ」となっていた。
なのにTahaniに「アルミニウム」と一言追加で言わせて喜ぶって・・・日本語字幕で観ていたら意味が分からないのでは？
最後に、ブリトーを判事だと思ってめちゃめちゃへりくだった言葉遣いで話しかけるシーンは笑えた。
サブタイトルも「The Burrito」だし、やっぱりコレが今回のポイント？
