多読 13：The Adventure of the Speckled Band (Level:3)
レベルを上げてのホームズ
ここからレベルを３に上げた。
説明によると、このレベルはセファールでいうとA2～B1ということなので、自分のレベルより少し易しい、といった感じ？
読んでみないとどうか分からない。
とりあえず、以前同様１個おきにホームズを入れることにし、今回はホームズの「The Adventure of the Speckled Band（まだらの紐）」を選択。
とても懐かしい有名な話。相当昔に読んだけれど、こんなに後になって英語で読むことになろうとは思わなかった。

本の感想（ネタバレ注意）
今度は出版社・シリーズが違うからなのか、それともレベルが上がって読者層が少し大人になったからなのか、ともかく挿絵がまともになった。色鉛筆で書いたようなカラフルな綺麗な絵になって安心。
Level２で読んでいた時のホームズの本は「そりゃないだろ」な挿絵だったから・・・。
絵本じゃなくても、挿絵がいい方が楽しい。
ただBGMがねぇ・・・ポップでしつこくて、ちょっと参った。
そんなに次から次へと流さなくていいんだけど。英語音声を聴いていると気が散ってしょうがない。
それ以外は全体的に良かった。
英文は易しいので文法的に不明なところはなく、とても読みやすい。
話も懐かしかった。「ジプシーだのヒヒだのなんて出てきたっけ」と思いつつ、最後の謎は十分覚えていた。
でもこの本を読む限り、結局ヘビでどう殺されたのかが書かれていないと思うんだけど・・・。
「ヘビで殺害した」とは言っているけれど、ギューッと絞めて？ヘビの毒で？
あえて書いていないのかなぁ？
こんな風にしばらくホームズ本を読んでいると、またカンバーバッチ版ドラマ「SHERLOCK」を観たくなる。
