感想など 　※ネタバレ注意

何度も「英語で観た方が色々な意味や内容をより深く理解できて楽しめる」と実感してきたけれど、今回もそうだった。
食べ物に触ると腐ってしまい食べられない、という状況と慣用句や英語表現を掛け合わせたセリフが多く、英語字幕から学んで「なるほど！」と感心した。
amazon日本語字幕では・・・いつも書いている通り。寂しいというか空しいというか、もったいないというか。

それにしても今回は特に面白いシーンがあった。
「キッシュが出来たら一切れちょうだい」と頼んだら冷たく断られたKellyパパが、「お前を育てて食材も買ってるのに・・・」とボヤくところも面白かったし、一番はやっぱり料理経験ゼロのPiperが魔法料理を作るところ。
いつもの綺麗で神秘的な「作業中」音楽に載せて、いつものようにゆっくりと美しく料理をしているシーン。なのに今回はPiperがドジしまくって、Kellyが眉間にシワを寄せてドン引き。
英語音声の修行のため数回見直し、そのたびに笑えた。
いや、自分も料理がヘッタクソなので人のことは全く言えませんが！

それから、今回もGPT先生が大活躍。
知らない語彙や言い回しを教わるだけでなく、セリフ全体で尋ねると、なぜそう言ったのか、裏にどういうニュアンスが含まれているのか、など、出るわ出るわ・・・この学習方法の最初からAIが使えていたら、さらに勉強内容が濃かっただろうと思う。

いや～、勉強になりますな・・・。
でも今回の話で分からないまま終わった謎は、魔法に関するシルヴァースさんの記憶をよみがえらせる方法を考えた際に、Kellyが選択した料理がキッシュだったこと。
必要なスパイスさえ入っていればメニューは何でもいいのに、どうしてキッシュなの？
どうして？？？
