英語字幕での不明点　※ネタバレ注意

(1875年)謎の箱を巡ってChuckと友人(?)が議論する

感想など 　※ネタバレ注意

ついに来ました「Just Add Magic」最終回。
と言ってもこのままスピンオフ作品へと話が続くので、「終わっちゃったあ・・・」という寂しさはあまりなく済んだ。
主役たちは交代しちゃうけど、スピンオフの方へも出てきてくれるんじゃないかな？

英語に関しては、ストーリーは分かっているので、話の筋は全て完全に追うことが出来た。
聴き取りとしては、１回目に挑戦した時はみんなやっぱり早口だし、今回新登場の少年や父親が非常に聞き取りづらくてかなり分からなかったけれど、２回目で割と聞き取れる箇所が増えた。
Kellyたち３人組の会話も、２回目の際は、本筋に関係のないおしゃべりの内容まで全て分かってとても満足した。

細かいところでは、動詞に「up」が付いているところが以下のようにあった。

KellyパパがKellyに料理をおねだり（？）するセリフ
“Shouldn’t you be whipping up a soufflé or poaching some salmon right about now?"

Leoが結婚式に備え父親Nickの蝶ネクタイの結び方を説明するセリフ
“The one that’s knotted up with A and C."

「動詞にupが付くとどう変わるのか」をchatGPTに訊いたところ、色々説明してくれたので別投稿に分けることにした。

英語音声だけでは理解出来なかった点では、アパートの1Fに入っているレストランが結婚式会場であること、そしてそのレストランのオーナーがNickなことが、英語字幕でやっと分かった。
なんだ、真下だったのか、そんなに近いからすぐ会場へ行けたのか・・・と納得。

さて、スピンオフの新しい魔法本守護者たち。
まさか超脇役だったZoeが次の守護者とは思いもよらなかった。
しかもこの子、かなりドライなタイプ。
仲間は

「料理が得意で、しかも魔法を信じている」少年
と
魔法の種を育てる温室を「ちょうど」持っている少女

・・・なんと都合の良い。。。

この最終回で「終わったぁ！頑張ったよぉぉ！！（涙）」と、お祝いの投稿をぶち上げようと思っていたんだけど、ドラマを見たらフツーにスピンオフへ繋がって続く展開なので、祝いの雄叫びはこのスピンオフ作品まで勉強し終えてからにすることにした。
なんとなく、今までのドラマのシーズン４みたいなイメージ。
スピンオフの話数は・・・10話。
10話かぁ・・・完全完了は来年ですかね。。。
