感想など ※ネタバレ注意
今回は壊れてしまったMichaelを見て楽しむ？回だった。
なんだか、一番突拍子もなかったはずのEleanorがすっかり優等生な感じになっちゃって、コメディとしてこれでいいのかなぁ？という感じはしなくもない。
周囲の人たちの方がハチャメチャで、Eleanorはそれを諭したりなだめたりする方に回っている気がする。
ちょっとよく分からないのが、Michaelを励ます直前にEleanorが思い出したのが、ホームセンターで家族向け製品を見て泣いた時のエピソード。
Michaelの死生観と関係あるのかなぁ・・・？と。
ところで、今回の冒頭部分にとても大事な一文があった。
“We’re gonna have Tahani throw a party for Gunnar’s birthday."
「（拷問アイデアで）TahaniにGunnarの誕生パーティーを企画『させよう』」
苦手な「使役の “have" 」のまさにいい例文。耳で聞いた時は “have" を聴きとっても意味を理解していなかった。
そのせいで、その先を観て「Tahaniが準備しているのは自分の誕生パーティーなのかな？」と思ってしまった。
最近習った「ラジオ英会話」の"have" の回 （コチラ）で言うと、【許す・大目に見る、状況的に自然に「させる」】に当たるのかもしれないけれど、申し訳ないんだけど、ネイティブスピードで話しているのを聴いてそういうイメージを瞬間的に持つ余裕は、私にはない・・・。
ともかく、ラジオ英会話の例文によると、
「医者が患者を診る」
「コーチが選手にワークアウトさせる」
「客が店員にラッピングさせる」
という、自然っちゃぁ自然だけど、ある意味「当たり前にやってもらって当然」という、上から目線な感じと一緒なら、このエピソードで言うと、悪魔（？）たちはTahaniを下に見ているという雰囲気なのかな。
まぁ、拷問対象の人間だもんね・・・。
こんな感じのイメージで、この例文をアタマに入れたい。
