復習
Recently, there seems to be a boom in American households replacing their yards with birds-or-butterflies-friendly plants from lawns. Here as well, to attract bees, some houses were leaving their yards with many dandelions without mowing in spring.
It’s common to surround a house with lawns here, but mowing is a quite hard job. During the summer, I always hear the loud noise of the lawn mower here and there.
As being released from such mowing, this movement would kill two birds with one stone.

レッスンの感想
タイミング的に今日あたりレッスンを受けた方がいいと思い、結構重かった腰を上げてレッスンを受けることにし、講師を探した。
例のごとくカナダ人で探したけれど、なんだか全然出てこない・・・。
ほとんどアメリカ人の先生ばっかり。
そこでアメリカ人のB先生をテキトーに選んでみた。
B先生はイメージ的にとてもアメリカ人らしく、しゃべりも早いしグイグイ来る感じ（？）だった。
「言いたいことは100%分かるんだけどね」と言いながら、日記をたくさん自然な表現に直してくれた。
ただしゃべりが早すぎて、なぜそう直すか色々話してくれたけれど、後で動画を見直してもやっぱりよく理解出来なかった。
今日の日記の修正は難しかったな・・・。
B先生の良かった点は、私同様「アンチ・ニュース教材」派だったこと。
「ニュース教材なんてつまらん！」と一刀両断してくれた。だよね～。
「日常英会話の習得が最優先なんだけど、どの先生もニュース教材を勧めてくる」と話すと、「日常英会話を練習したいのなら、日常英会話を練習すればいい。今日あったこととか昨日あったこととか。」とのこと。
自然な表現を習得したければ、好きなジャンルの雑誌や本がいい、と、私が常日頃思っている通りのことを言ってくれたので安心した。
また、Camblyのカリキュラムでこれがいいかも、と画面に表示させて紹介してくれた教材があったのに、後で動画で見てももうその画面は表示されず、結局どの教材だったのか分からなくなってしまった。
ま、いいか。
