感想など 　※ネタバレ注意

前回に引き続き今回もかなり聴き取れて、無理だと思ったのは最後のカフェ店内シーンと魔法に関してあれこれ議論するシーンだけだった。
あれっ、も、もしかして、リスニング力が上がったかな・・・！？
（なーんて考えると、だいたい次のエピソードで玉砕する）

今回のポイントは、「Amazonの日本語字幕がちょっとね」という点。
まず

Darbie: We have enough spices to make every spell in the cookbook ten times.
Hannah: The cookbook’s infinite.
Darbie: My point exactly.

この会話の最後のDarbieの一言の解釈が分からずAmazonの日本語字幕を見ると「きっと足りる」となっていて、？？？状態。
AI自動翻訳なのかな。。。
「魔法本レシピは無限だよ」「まさにそれが言いたかったの」というやりとりなので、たぶんDarbieは、無限に料理が作れるほどスパイスを準備した（＝無限に感じるほど作業をして大変だった！）と言いたかったのではないか、と思った。

もう一箇所、自動翻訳っぽくて気になった日本語字幕。
上記のシーンのすぐ後、Kellyがトレーラーにやってきて

Darbie: Just in time, Kell. Have a “Spice-See Carrot Stick."
Kelly: I thought we were almost done harvesting?

と会話する。
Kellyのセリフの日本語字幕は「終わってないの？」。
この部分は、遅れてやってきたKellyは、もうスパイス処理作業が完了しているだろうと想像していたから、単にそう言っただけではないかと思う。
でも「終わってないの？」となると・・・・まるで「アンタたち、まだ作業が完了してないわけ！？」というBossyなニュアンスになるのではないだろうか？（自分はそう感じる）

とは言え、実際のところKellyは、引き出しにズラッと並んだビンを見て「ワオ」とか言っているところを見ると、どうもこのスパイスのビン詰め作業を全然手伝っていなかったっぽい。
Darbieが「この３週間、ハーブを刈り取りビンに詰めた」と説明している。この３週間、Kellyは一体何をしていたんだろう・・・。

他には、Jakeが新しいコーヒーチェーンで働きながら、シルヴァースさんと席に座って話していたら、マネージャーのErinに注意されたシーンの

“your 15 minutes are up."

の「up」についてchatGPTで調べていたら、理解が違っていたかも、と気付いた。

AIなんで本当かどうかは分からないけれど、本当だと仮定すると、「Jakeが15分間の休憩中だったのを、時間終了だとErinが言った」と思っていたけれど、そういう文字通りなことではなく、Erinは嫌味を言ったということかも。

今回も相変わらず優しいアドバイスをするシルヴァースさん。
そしてビーチで寝そべってパイナップルジュースを飲むママP、という笑えるシチュエーションがあり、ママPが今シーズンもまたワルっぷりを発揮してくれそうで期待した。
このドラマにはママPというヴィランスパイスが欠かせない！
