感想など 　※ネタバレ注意

今回は英語に関して色々と。
Jillはすごい選挙参謀、ということなせいか、どうも言っていることが皮肉なのかよく理解できなかった。
初めて会った時、JillがKellyに

“I was gonna say no candidate is better than their family."

と言ったセリフの意図が分からなかった。「候補者より家族が最高だ」？
で、chatGPT先生を動員。

とのこと。

なので、選挙参謀のJillの言いたいことは「いい候補者なら家族を大事にしているはず」なんだろう、と解釈した。
なおamazonでの日本語字幕は「候補者を知るには家族から」となっていた。

その後Jillが “I won’t really know your mom till I get to know all the Quinns."「家族を知るまで本当には彼女のことは分からない」と言っているので、日本語字幕で合っているのだろう。

次に、市販ケーキミックスを使っていることにKellyママが呆れたので、Kellyが “I can’t be perfect all the time, Mom."「私だっていつも完璧ってわけじゃないのよ」と言うと、Jillが

“Just until the election."

と言う。これがまた良く理解できなかった。
言っていることは「選挙までは完璧でいてちょうだいね」らしい。たぶん「選挙までそうしてくれればいいからさ」ということなんだろう。
でもそのままの受け答えで考えたら、
「いつも完璧ってわけじゃない」→「選挙までそう（完璧でない）よね」
って感じに思えるんだけど・・・。

ってことで、またまたGPT先生～。

そうですか・・・そういうもの、として覚えることにします。

それにしてもさ・・・市販のケーキミックスを使ってケーキを作るのって、そんなにひどいことなのっ！？
