ようやく来ました、カナダ。
トロントとクリスマスは直接関係ないなぁと思うけど、まぁちょうど12月だったから、クリスマスネたになったんでしょう。
ナイアガラでカウントダウンとか、なるほどね。

Will でもいいが、リクエストに聞こえるので “be gonna be" の方が良い。

※アメリカやカナダでは"going away party"の方がよく聞かれる。farewell partyより軽い感じ。"farewell" だと二度と会わないという風に聞こえる。一般的にはどちらでもok。
“We’re having a party for the new employees." ※歓迎会：party for the new 〇〇 / welcome party
“We’re having a party at our place on New Year’s Eve." ※ホームパーティ：party at our/my place（home/house/condo等）
