知らない or あやふやな単語
・ease：和らぐ、やむ、止まる
ex) Outside the storm is easing.
・ever：今までに、これまでに
ex) Hope has changed ever so slightly.
・lay：〔水平な位置に～を〕置く、おろす
ex) Standing over Vincent, she lays a hand on his head.
・bring oneself to：～する気になる
ex) The young man can’t bring himself to look at Hope.
・hold to ～：～にしがみつく、～を離さない

・redirect：再び向ける
・frigid：冷淡な、温かみのない [frídʒid]

本の感想（ネタバレ注意）
やはり予想した通り、1回ごとに一人ずつ、エピソードが語られる形式になってきた。
今度は先生のMadelineの話。
でも聴いていると、どうも・・・開き直り？？
「クリスタル、もう一度調べてちょうだい（“Crystal, you should check again”）」と言って、「こんな目に遭ったのよ、あんな目にも遭ったのよ」と、自分が辛かった思い出を展開するMadeline。
いや、それ自業自得だし。
挙句の果てにはガラスフレームを部屋の向こうへ投げつけて八つ当たり！
割れたガラス、誰が掃除すんのよ・・・。
前回のVincentは殊勝に振舞っていたのに、Madelineの方は反省というより逆ギレしただけであった。
