Today was Victoria Day, a national holiday. The temperature rose so high that people were in summer outfits.
The higher the temperature gets, the more vividly wildflowers feast our eyes. While yellow carpets of dandelions are getting brighter, soft-colored forget-me-not is growing in clusters. The ground is blanketed in white everywhere by wild strawberry flowers.
However, I feel that wildflowers’ bloom has been getting earlier year by year. The climate may be changing due to global warming.

レッスンの感想
前回のレッスンでとても話しやすく感じの良い先生だと思ったカナダのＤ先生。
次は日記添削をお願いしようと、前回のレッスンのラスト数分で、「こんな感じなんで次回ヨロシク」と、適当に日記をチャットボックスに貼ってサンプルとして見せておき、今回の予約では事前にメッセージでも一言伝えておいた。
なのでスムーズに日記添削に入ったのだが、望んでいた通りの修正をしてくれて、とてもありがたかった。
女性なのでやっぱ花かな、と思い、今年春頃の、野生の花がいかにキレイか、という日記を使ってみたら、「まるで本を読んでいるようだ、これは詩のようだ！」と絶賛してくれた。
詩のような：poetic
を、D先生だけでなく他の先生からも全く同じように頻繁に言われる。
今日、修正後の日記を一通り声に出して読み上げてみたら、実に “poetic" だと自分で思った。
性格は “poetic" からは程遠いんですけどね。英語日記を書くと別人格になるのだろうか。
まぁ、今は超キレイなカナダにいるから内容がこういうものになるのであって、日本に帰ったら花の話題なんてほとんどしないだろう・・・。
D先生とのレッスンで他に良かったことは、トークをしつつ所々で語彙の修正や助け舟を入れてくれたこと。
でも多すぎないのでベラベラしゃべるのに支障がなく、その程よさが良かった。
発音修正はやっぱりなかったけど。。。
これは、誰か他の先生に「発音だけ直して！」というレッスンを頼んだ方がいいかもしれない。
自分のしゃべりを録画動画で聴く度に、心からそう思うのだった・・・。
