【本日の内容】
自分の生活環境や状況、レアジョブでの講師業の現状、日本円・フィリピンペソのレートの話、など。
【自分で話しながら気になった語彙】
永住権に関する似た語彙の違いを認識していないまま、いつもテキトーにしゃべっているのが自分で気になる。
なのでレッスン後、chatGPT先生に以下の３種類の違いを教えてもらった。
・permanent resident
・permanent residency
・permanent resident status
3つの違い（chatGPTの回答を要約）
- Permanent resident（永住者）：国や地域に永続的に居住する権利を持つ人
- Permanent residency（永住権）：永住者の地位や状態（永続的な居住権を有していることを示す）
- Permanent resident status（永住者の身分）：個人の法的身分（その国や地域において永住者として認められる）
間違っている可能性もあるので、辞書サイトでも確認。
さらに、chatGPTにはそれぞれの例文も挙げてもらった。
Permanent resident（永住者）
- “John has been a permanent resident of this country for over 10 years."
- “As a permanent resident, she enjoys many of the same rights and benefits as citizens."
- “To become a permanent resident, you need to go through the immigration process."

chatGPTに「ホントに合ってる？」と訊くと、毎回謝罪して訂正してくるのでアヤシイ。
でも例文に関しては訂正後の内容がどうも変わっていない模様。
まぁ「尋ねられると必ず謝って別の言い方をする」という仕様なんでしょう。
ま、多少間違っていてもあんまり気にしないのでこれでいいとしよう。
レッスンの感想
今日選んだB先生は、レッスン冒頭は無愛想でかなりめんどくさそうだったが、話しているうちに会話が弾んだ。
一応いつも通り「カンバセーション クエスチョン」の教材を基にお願いするつもりだったけれど、結果としては最後までおしゃべりで終わった。
修正・訂正がゼロだったのは残念だった。
上記の通りchatGPT先生に色々教えてもらい、やはりAIは便利だなと思った。
解説内容に間違いが多いことが欠点だけど、英語の例文は問題ないのではないかと。
昨今、AIを使った英語自己学習が凄い勢いで流行りだしている。近いうちに英語講師はみんなお払い箱になってしまうかも・・・。
