【今日のフレーズ】

【ポイント】
形式は
If 起こったら, 〇〇するだろう
↑動詞現在形 ↑will
100%ではないけれど、割と起こる可能性があるときに使う。
【新or使い慣れていない語彙】
・wild boar：イノシシ
・plastic model：プラモデル [ˈplæs.tɪk/ /ˈmɑː.dəl]
・unlike：～と違って [ʌnˈlaɪk]
ex) That sounds like a great plan unlike what I have planned for my weekend.
・hellish：最悪の
ex) That sounds like a great plan, unlike my hellish weekend.
・stormy：嵐の、暴風雨の
ex) What if the weather is stormy?
・rough：つらい、ひどい（雑なイメージ）
ex) It’s been pretty rough in the house.
・run the experiment：実験を行う
ex) If she is not too busy, she will run the experiment sometime soon.
・one-piece swimsuit：ひと繋ぎの水着
・participate：参加する
ex) David wants to participate in the meeting, but it depends on his schedule.

→ ダンナさんは結婚指輪を失くし、こっそり代わりに新しい別の指輪を付けていたら奥さんに見つかった、ということ
※ちなみに、欧米では結婚指輪を失くすと不吉なことが起こるという迷信があるので奥さんがとても怒っている、ということだそう。
【 “run 〇〇"】
“run" のコロケーションはたくさんある。
exerciseの設問にある “run the experiment" 以外にも例えば
・run the store：店を経営する
・run the election：選挙に立候補する
など。
【 “it depends" と “it all depends"の違い】
“James would like to buy a new car, but it all depends on the price.
“all" は強調したい時に付ける。合っても無くても単数に対してでも何でもok。
レッスンの感想
今回は2回に分けている。
一度目はセルビアのM先生（お気に入りのセルビアM先生と違う先生）に初めてレッスンをお願いした。
とても明るく気さくな先生で、話しやすくて良い練習になった。
昨日がセルビアのクリスマスなので、家族でパーティをしてとても楽しかったとのこと。それは何より。
上に書いた、欧米の結婚指輪の迷信の話はM先生から聞いた。とてもinteresting。そういうのを知っていると余計に内容が理解しやすくなる。
M先生とのレッスンがQuestionまでだったので、続きのExerciseを今度は日本のM先生から教わった。
日本人の先生だと日本の話題がしやすい。なんだか話しやすいので色々自分のことや自分の考えをしゃべっていると、なんだか英語がとても上達したように感じた。
相手によるかもね。
