知らない or あやふやな単語
・on thin ice：（薄氷を踏むような）危なっかしい状態で
ex) He is now on thin ice with both women.
・on … terms with ～：～と…な間柄[関係]で
ex) He is now on very uncertain terms with them.
・freeze ～ out：～（人）を拒絶[のけ者に]する
ex) Major Jack feels sorry for Vincent after the women freeze him out.
・shake one’s head no：首を横に振って否定する
ex) Vincent shakes his head no.
・quit cold turkey：（酒・煙草・麻薬を）完全に絶つ【語源】ヘロイン中毒と関係がある。中毒者が急に薬をやめると体が震えだし、鳥肌ができる。この鳥肌は、羽を抜かれたターキーの皮膚のように見え、体がヘロインを必要としなくなるまで続く。麻薬を少しずつ断っていくのではなく、一度に完全に断ってしまう場合にこの表現を用いる。
ex) He says he quit cold turkey last year.
・admire ～：～を称賛［敬服］する
・accomplishment：達成、実現
ex) He admires the athlete’s accomplishment.
・mental strength：精神力
ex) You don’t have the mental strength that I do.
・melt at ～：～で（人）を和ませる、（人）の心をとろけさせる

・cut no ice：効き目がない、無駄である【直訳】（スケートシューズのエッジが）氷を切らない[氷上に後を残さない]
ex) For Sylvia they cut no ice.
・turn to ice：氷のように冷えきる
ex) Her once-friendly voice turns to ice.
・shudders：身震いする
・stare：じっと見ること、凝視
ex) He shudders not from the temperature of the room but from her icy stare.
・think to oneself：心ひそかに考える
・ice queen：冷たく高慢な女
ex) He thinks to himself that the attractive actress can certainly be an ice queen when she wants to be.
・it is fair to say that ・・・：・・・と言っても良いでしょう、・・・と言っても過言ではない
ex) It is fair to say that the conversations among the group are not going well.
本の感想（ネタバレ注意）
Part2の②からこの③に掛けて、登場人物たちがいかにイヤな奴らかが表されていた。
そして元ミリタリーのおじさまが可哀そうっていう・・・。
こんなに感じの悪い連中ばっかり集まってくるとは、恐るべしアイス・キャッスル・イン。
で、話はいつ先へ進むんだろうか？
そういえば、「100万語シャドーイング」企画（？）の語数が10000語を超えた。
多読の方でもそれぞれの本を一応勉強の流れに沿ってシャドーイングしているので、実際にはシャードイング語数はもっとたくさんあるんだけど。まぁいいか。
100万語まであと・・・・・・・数えない方がいいね。
