【新or使い慣れていない語彙】

復習
【Short Conversation内で分かりにくかった文】
“Not the fact that he’s seeing an attractive girl, but the fact that I actually like him."
の意味がイマイチ分からない。
→ これは、その前の文章 “It was much more shocking than I could ever imagine, though." の続きで、「ショックだったのは、attractiveなgirlのことではなくて、自分が実は彼が好きだったこと」という意味
【 “the moment" と “as soon as" の違い】
どちらも「すぐ、ただちに」で、どちらを使っても同じとのこと。
なので、１つ目のExerciseの２番と５番は、どちらを使っても良い。
2番：
“As soon as I saw the man, I recognized who he really was."
“The moment I saw the man, I recognized who he really was."
５番：
“As soon as the suspect saw the police, he started running to his car."
“The moment the suspect saw the police, he started running to his car."
これは全部ok。
【 “It’s 〇〇 that ～" の文】
２つ目のExerciseの２番
“It’s 〇〇 that Samantha dropped her cell phone and it smashed on the floor."
の〇〇部分は、今回のテーマが以前の内容の復習だから、文法43番で習った強調構文のことだと思い、いったい何を入れるのかと悩んでしまったが、それではなく、「that節が〇〇だ」という方の構文だった。
なので、ここでは “sad" や “terrible" 等を入れる。
レッスンの感想
セルビアの J 先生とはタイミングの相性がいいようで、ちょうどいい時にフリーでいてくれる。
J先生とは５分間ディスカッションをすることが多いけれど、今回は文法にした。
いつも通り話しやすく、楽しくスモールトークをしてからテキパキと進めてくれた。
ここのところかなり忙しくてレッスンをサボリ気味で、そうするといつものように「上手くしゃべれない」病に掛かると思っていた。
でも今日はなんだかスムーズに会話が出来て、発音も意識出来ていて、自分で「あれっ？」と思った。
これはもしかすると、音読が良かった？
多読の「Beauty and the Beast」の音読をかなり頑張ってやったのが意外と効果アリだったりするのかな・・・。
これ以上時間が無いので音読練習なんて普段は全然出来ないけれど、音読自体は好きなので、もうちょっとやってみよう。
