・Scientists hope to use the laser to guide lightning from storm clouds to areas where it won’t cause damage. In your opinion, is this a good idea?
→ 他にいい方法が無いのであれば、いいと思う
・Do you think it’s safe to be outside when there’s a storm?
→ たまに雷に打たれたという人の話を聞くので、雷を伴う嵐の時はナメずに安全な場所に避難した方がいい

→ 全く分からない。でもなぜそうなのか根拠を聞いてみたい

→ このレーザーがうまくいっても、天気をコントロールしたことにはならない。でも同じような原理でそもそも雷雲自体を最初から追い払えるのではないかという気がする

レッスンの感想
今日は初のG先生にしたのだが、も～～とにかく早口だった。
最初はその早口でいいリスニングの練習になると思ったのだが、口調だけでなくレッスンでのテンポがとにかく速すぎた。
質問され、「えーとですね・・・」と言いかけると、先生が言い替えなどをしながらしゃべりだす。
とりあえず何か回答をし、先生が「そうだね、〇〇だね」という感じで返してくれる。で、それに対して返答したり、または追加意見を言おうと言いかけると、もうそこは先生がさっさと次へ進んでしまう、といった具合。
イメージは、一緒にカラオケでデュエットしたら、相手がマイクをひったくりまくるような。
「い、いやしゃべらせて・・・」といった感じで、でも先生のマシンガントークにタジタジして25分がようやく終わった。
ちょっと頭が痛くなった。
でも昨日（子供のいるお母さんの先生に対し、母親＆子供の誕生日の記事）に続き、今日もサイエンスの話題に対し先生はテクノロジー系の専攻だった。
先生のプロフィールは全然見ていないので偶然だけど、それは良かったかもしれない。
でも予想通り、今日の話題は非常に難しかった。
