・Cheapskate：a negative term for people who don’t like to spend money
例) He doesn’t like shopping because he’s a cheapskate.
・split the bill：to pay for your own expenses when you go out with someone

例) I always split the bill whenever we had dinner.
・live beyond one’s means：to spend more money than you actually have
例) She has a lot of debt because she lives beyond her means.
例) He was trying not to live beyond his means.

レッスンの感想
今日は去年の段階でお気に入りリストに入っていたR先生のレッスンにしたのだが、異様に応答がチグハグで、同じ個所を繰り返したり、内容を全く把握していないような雰囲気で、どうしたのかと思ったらお疲れなのかウトウトしていた。
しょうがないので、聴いていないのは見て分かりつつ、勝手に今日のフレーズを使って自論を並べてスピーキング練習をした。
先生には少し休養が必要なのかも。
